Decade of Fire Film Screening

A community is as strong as those willing to fight for its survival. This is the story of the brave people of the South Bronx who banded together amidst the rubble and built a better future for their children. Come together for a community-driven Indie Lens Pop-Up screening + conversation of Decade Of Fire at the Bronx Music Heritage Center on Sunday, November 10 at 3:00PM, in partnership with THIRTEEN. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion and reception, with Vivian Vázquez Irizarry (Filmmaker, Decade of Fire), Elena Martinez (Co-producer, From Mambo to Hip Hop: A South Bronx Tale), Edwin Pagan (Nos Quedamos, founder of the Latin Horror website), Grand Wizzard Theodore (DJ, credited as the inventor of the “scratching” technique), Joe Conzo Jr. (Award-winning photographer, credited for “hip hop's baby photos”). FREE and OPEN to the public!
