November is Puerto Rican Heritage Month and we're celebrating with the Bombazo Dance Co. This evening we'll enjoy a dance and drum presentation by dance scholar Milteri Tucker Concepcion showcasing how Afro-Puerto Rican rhythms are connected to New Orleans Congo rhythms! Bombazo Dance Co is the first dance company to present Traditional Bomba in New Orleans! The evening will consist of an excerpt from Bombazo Dance Co's production: Bamboula! followed by an interactive lecture demonstration of the history and ending in a community jam the Southern way! $7.00 at the door | $5 for students and Intervale Green residents | Children under 12 free.
