Classes & Workshops

Music gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything. - Plato

In the beginning, there was noise. Noise begat rhythm, and rhythm begat everything else.  -Mickey Hart

The BMHC offers free music education to children and teens (ages 7-18) and low-cost classes for adults. Weekly music instruction is offered in three 10-week sessions (Fall, Spring & Summer). Classes are taught by teaching artists who are well-established in their disciplines and who share a passion for developing musical talent and technique. Classes include piano, guitar, conga and percussion in small group settings, and focus on technique, as well as instruction in music notation and basic theory.

New this season: We will now be offering Mexican Folkdance Classes for children through Mazarte Dance Company! Inquire at registration or contact dance@mazarte.org or call/text Dolores at 917.476.1844.
